Welcome to our website!

We began like most people with just a couple of birds but as with the rest of you it never ends there!

We have travelled the country to collect birds from some of the UK's leading orpington chicken breeders whilst developing some very good lines of our own.

350 Birds

We have built up a flock in excess of 350 birds in over 20 colours. I have all the breed standard colours and also many of the project colours developed to a very high standard.

We also have many project colours in development stage which will be available in the future.

Orpington breeding

Essex orpingtons can supply hatching eggs, chicks, growers and adult orpington chickens in all of the colours you see on this website.

We are based in Essex, England and only sell large fowl orpington chickens.

Bird description: Our chocolate orpington breeding group will now be creating F6 birds. In spring 2011 we purchased a split cockerel from Ramsley orpingtons and ran him over three David Pownall black hens.
